item not as described

Hi, I bought a used car seat cover that is listed as being for a specific model of car, and only for that model. It turns out that it is a generic seat cover that was last used on that model, and while it does fit ok it is not an exact fit for that model. Can I call the seat covers 'not as described' because they are generic? Thanks

If you paid by paypal, all you can do is open a dispute and try. If it claims to be a seat cover made for that specific model only, and it is not, then it would most likely be classed as not as described. You will have to return the cover at your expense via tracked postage with signature on delivery, so you will have to determine if it is worth the cost, or, if you can use the item and it will do for now, perhaps keep it, and mark down the sellers description stars instead. Have you contacted the seller to see if they are able to offer a partial refund or some sort of resolution?
