reached maximum number of offers

I put in 3 offers, increasing each, now it says i have reached the maximum number I can make. I asked the seller how much their minimum is and I was only 1 dollar off so I want to put in another offer but now I don't seem able to, how can I?

You only get three offers.

If the seller is prepared to sell at your price ask him to revise the price in the listing to your price and you will buy it.
