Unfortunately at christmas many parcels go missing from the front doors or other safe drop areas.

Talk with your PO, most safe drops are photographed these days and talk with the seller re a claim with AP for missing or stolen parcel.

Did Australia Post indicate that is was delivered by "safe drop"? While it doesn't help, you can instruct them not to do this, which means you will get a card and pick up you item at the Post Office instead.
