I contacted a seller in Victoria Australia before I placed a bid on there item to see how much postage was to Queensland Australia, they said about $13,I put a bid on the item and won the auction, now I received a invoice for $31.74 for international postage.I haven't paid for the item or the international postage as you don't need international postage from Victoria to Queensland. My first message to the seller enquiring about postage they got back to me in about 10minutes,now after I received the invoice with international postage I've messaged the seller 3 times in two days and they haven't responded once. How long should I leave it before I contact eBay customer service.Has any one else had this issue before.
cheers

I certainly wouldn't be paying at this point. International postage would tend to indicate that the goods aren't actually in Victoria.
However, it is the weekend. I would leave it until Tuesday. If they have not responded by then, or don't provide a satisfactory solution (ie $13 postage), then I would be getting eBay to ring me. You get a better class of cheatsheet reader that way.
When I spoke to eBay I would point out that the item is allegedly in Australia, so the seller is misrepresenting location. This is supposed to be a big no-no, so you should get away without incurring a non-payment strike. As you should as the postage is more than the listing quoted, which is also a big no-no. Which you should mention as well, if it gets to that point.

In future if you ask for a postage quote don't go ahead unless it is a set amount, about or around won't hack it but if they have said it will be $XX and invoice for more you have a case.
In this instance you also have a case but I would just not pay and if they open an unpaid item dispute contact ebay and tell them why you are not paying.
It says in this book I am reading that by 2065 80% of women will be overweight.
See what a trendsetter I am?
