i think this should be longer, since some things i buy need to be made first and then shipped which can take over the 45 days limit. so when something goes wrong there is nothing i can do about it

45 days

The 45 days only pertains to the deadline for opening a case.

You have 60 days to leave feedback, from account tab select feedback and it should appear in the list there.

If you simply want to retrieve information from the trans, select purchase history in the left margin and if you can't see it there, at the top of purchase history, change it to archived to find it.

You can also get the PayPal trans number by logging into PP. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hey Xombie-shane - totally agree with you. I made a purchase from a seller in Hong Kong, and after several emails to and from, all with the promise of sending further goods, it's over 2 months and I am left with nothing and down the purchase price. As the seller made so many promises, I felt obliged to wait. Now so much time has passed, paypal refuses to intervene, and I'm worried for so many other ebayers who are going to be ripped off by this seller. His negative feedback is just plain scary! Paypal needs to have a stronger presence, but then I guess they still make their money either way, don't they? Pretty poor show, I reckon!

Apart from the fact that the remedies have been mentioned in this thread already - especially to open a case within 45 days of purchase - it might pay you to read the seller's feedback BEFORE buying, not after you've been dudded.

Your issue is mainly due to you not using the tools eBay provide you with to protect your purchase. As such caveat emptor definitely applies.
