I attempted to apply AFTERPAY10 on checkout but received message
code is not applied "as I have used this Voucher before on a transaction."
I then read conditions for this voucher which were a bit convoluted.
Condition #3. seems to imply it's possible to use the code more than once. Further reading to condition#5. then states otherwise. link below
Why cant eBay apply a notice before pressing buy that this offer can only be used once during the offer period.
I could have searched further to purchase from another seller for 10% less without this AFTERPAY10 offer that only works once.
It's a pain to contact seller that you do not wish to proceed.
Com'mon eBay. Do the right thing have a notice of condition of voucher before pressing buy.

Don't know why certain members just can't simply say "Unfortunately it's a single use voucher", and leave it at that.
And that is precisely what the T&C,s state. No ambiguity, No Scam
I mean, how can ebay scam someone into not reading T&C,s when they state T&C,s apply and those T&C,s are very specific and not written in convoluted legal jargon. I don'.t even see the T&C,s as being open to interpretation.

Condition 3 could be reworded - why talk about 'per transaction' if there can only be one?
A maximum discount of $10 per transaction applies. Multiple items may be purchased in 1 transactions (up to a maximum of 10 items per transaction)

Hi cezm, Condition 3 does not need to be reworded, but simply needs to be read correctly. (..................)

I think that this may be a dig at me, did you read the OPS heading, they started with the narkiness. If you start your post with alleging someone is a scammer (Ebay), just because you havent read the terms and conditions, then in reality the OP started with the narkiness.
PS. I am not a paid employee of Ebay before that old chestnut gets thrown around.

I got an offer too, but I ignored it (several times over the last few months) because I am not interested in AfterPay.
Anyway, it is this part from Point 5 ("Redemption") that is relevant rather than the above condition: "Eligible Users can only use the redemption code 1 time during the Offer Period."

It says Per Transaction because that’s exactly what it means.
It’s not stating per item! …which is what I think people are getting stuck on.
eg: I might be shopping for a book. I go to a store, add 1 book to my cart. It’s eligible for the promo code, I check out using after pay, add the promo code and waalah!! Discount applied.
The difference is, I could have added the book to my cart, then selected ‘keep shopping’ and then gone ahead and added another 9 items to my CART. (Up to 10 items as per T&C)
Then press checkout and select after pay, add the promo code, discount applied and waalah!
Both eg are samples of 1 transaction. Promo code is only valid for 1 transaction.
I’ve never used the promo code because I don’t like after pay…. But I use the cart for multiple shopping items and the convenience of one checkout system, on occasion. Even if it’s with different sellers.
I understood the T&Cs. There’s no ambiguity here.

Basically Condition 3 says what Jane said - you can't apply the voucher to every item you have in your cart. It can only be applied once if you buy multiple items in one transaction.
Then you have to go to Condition 5 to clarify that you can only redeem the voucher once during the whole offer period, not to every transaction during the offer period (which is what I think cezm found confusing).

Voila. A French word. Wallah, a Hindi word has an entirely different meaning.

Several studies reveal the horrifying truth - that most people really do not read those terms & conditions, even though they should.
I don't think it would be too difficult for eBay to clarify the voucher's being able to be used only once. Something like this would be just that extra head's-up to people who tend not to read T&Cs:

I didn’t say Wallah though!
