I have purchased 2 items off a seller that advertised as being a AU seller with the Aust flag in the background and the items were also listed as being in Sydney. This was the purchase of 2 ladders.
After getting feedback is some language other than English I looked harder at the sellers profile and I see he is a member from China.
This is very misleading and I am now worried how long will it take to get my items. I purchased from this seller because he was in Sydney.
Any advice?

Before I did anything, I would message the seller to confirm that item location actually is in Australia and then take it from there.

Yes I have just done that and will see what he says

They seem to trade on ebay sites all over the world.
Maybe they are drop shippers using third parties in a range of countries, including Australia ??

Well all seems good, the seller just emailed me saying they do have a warehouse in Sydney although their account is registered in China. They also said that the items will be posted out within 48hrs of payment.

Thats very good news, and very swift delivery time indeed.
I would have been concerned too, if I had noticed an international seller location with an Australian item location after I had purchased and paid for something.

I'm glad it worked out for you. I have been caught out once or twice with sellers stating the item is in Sydney but taking 3 weeks
to arrive. I thought they probably have a warehouse in Sydney, but don't carry evey item on hand and bring it in on a sale only basis.
These were big tickets items, but got them eventually.
