I cant find a way when I do my searches, to exclude items that sellers dont want to post as their listings come up as 'free postage'
if im doing a search for items within X kms of me, i dont care whether it is pick up only or postage offered; however there are items I may search australia wide for and something in qld I am happy to pay shipping on is of no use to me if the seller wont ship

Sorry, I don't think it's possible to exclude pick-up items from searches.
If you sort by price + postage - lowest first, the pick-up items tend to come up first as P&H isn't adding to the cost, so you can kind of work around it a little that way.

if a listing comes up "free postage" it means that the seller will post but you dont have to pay extra for postage it does not mean that it is a pick up only item.

Except there is a glitch if a seller has listed with a phone app.
Pick up items only will show as free postage in searches until it's rectified.
If it has the orange free postage symbol on the pic in the listing, it's free postage, otherwise need to check the postage details in the listing.

I have the opposite problem - some items I search for within a pickup radius of my home, but would also like items included that sellers are willing to post. I did email ebay with the suggestion, but nada.

Over 10 years later and to my knowledge they still have not added this as a feature, wow.
