Any one else got the email for a $10 voucher if you use the ebay mobile app?

After I got the email I bought something on the ebay mobile app using a paypal account with the same email, but I havn't got an email with the $10 voucher.

Any one else got the email and received their voucher?

Seems to me that this whole promotion for either the percentage off or $10 off has been a series of one error after another.

If anyone ever receives a mobile app $10 Voucher then I will be surprised. 

And I believe that a lot of the time when contacting ebay support they just give you the answer that you want to hear, without any intention of following it up or making good on their word.

The scenario, appears to be going from bad to worse, after been offered 10% on any item up to Sept. 24. I only use ebay.com.au and in the B.I.N section, the 10% discount figure is highlighted, or it was. Now, it has disappeared and it appears I no longer receive the 10% discount!

I have not made a purchase yet, it's only Sat. Sept. 21 and I am waiting till Mon. (weekday) Sept. 23 to make my purchase. When I make my purchase, I will try the $10 discount voucher code sent to me by eBay and report back.

Just dropping by to say that I bought something using the eBay mobile app on 10 Sep, but I haven't received any $10 off voucher as promised in the invite... not impressed. Apparently such voucher could be used from 21 Sep to 1 Oct.

Ok so I chatted with a couple of them... one chat completely was useless (Lou De. and supervisor Karen M. A.), who just towed the company line and basically said I wasn't eligible... I also had a slightly better chat with Beverly Ma. Unfortunately that was disconnected... but... found that she'd followed up with me and advised that the timeframe for purchase is now 25 Sept to 1 Oct and "You'll receive the voucher on or before the promotional period so you just have to check your email from time to time. A better experience, but sheesh... Karen M. A. wouldn't escalate higher.... very unhappy.

I know there's laws that actually prohibit companies from making false claims (including advertising discounts/promotions that aren't real) to lure a customer's sale too...

So, anyone received the voucher as yet, or are we all in the same boat?

Further to this, I also suggest we refer to the ACL when submitting said complaint.

Under the ACL, "When supplying or promoting goods or services, it is unlawful to offer rebates, gifts, prizes or other free items without intending to provide them. Just in case you're wondering, the maximum fine for a corporation is $1.1 million for an offence.

I've given their complaints team until Tuesday 5pm AEST to resolve.

Followed up today with a phone call to ebay regarding no voucher still and after a long discussion we finally found the answer I was looking for.   Now if I click into the terms and conditions from the original email that had this promotion on it, it opens up with the actual list of terms and conditions again BUT this time it has changed from the original terms and conditions and has been added to up the top of this:

Thanks for shopping with ebay mobile - Enjoy your $10 off.  And there is a code next to this which I hope I can use between the dates of 25th September and 1st October on a purchase which is $50 and above and this amount can include postage costs also, on ebay Australia.

So I hope everyone kept their original promotional emails they were sent as there is no record of the code anywhere else that I can see, and I was not sent a seperate email advising I had a code to use.

This campaign has got to be the most poorly executed one I've encountered in the 11 odd years of using this site.  And coincidentally the item I wanted to purchase with said voucher has now been raised by the seller to be $10 more than normal.... handy. -__-

Well guess what?  I just went to use that voucher on a purchase I just made and..... no surprises here, I cannot use it.

The code on my email says what hman's did, CMOB3.  When I saw he had put that code, I thought we all had the same code.

Now I am wondering if every email in the terms and conditions has this code and who is able to use it to make a purchase??

This message comes up when I put in the code found on my voucher:-

The redemption code could not be used for your purchase.

• This redemption code cannot be used because it is already linked to another eBay account.

So, have we all been taken for a ride AGAIN regarding this voucher.  I am ready to pull my hair out regarding this and forget all about it.  Maybe that is what ebay wants us to do....

I've just received yet another discount voucher offer, this time from Paypal. It's a little more restrictive than the ebay one I received last week (and successfully used) but it still may be of some use to me.

This is the 4th different offer in 2 weeks and I'm just curious as to whether anybody else has received one of these?
