I thought i would check the gst implementation out on some items i had in my cart and it looks like its 5% and not 10% ๐
12.19am 01/07/18
and there is no GST on postage which is good
here is a copy and paste of 3 items 2 are Euro $ and 1 is US $
my post code has been editied
label value Items (3) AU $245.94
Postage to ( my location ) AU $60.48
GST AU $13.75
Total AU $320.16
hope it stays this way
5% i can handle
10% is too much on items under $1000

The gst will only be added on when you go through checkout, so did you actually do that or did you just put them in your cart? The $13.75 was most likely paypal's cross border fee/currency conversion and nothing to do with gst.
$13.75 is just under 4.5% of the total item + postage without gst, which is about right for the currency conversion.

i said items were in the CART.
4.75 % omg
5% was a close guess as i could clearly see that it was not 10%
and as you can see the GST for those 3 items was stated at $13.75.
why would it show $13.75 there in cart then change in the payment page. ??? it wouldnt.
the cart is ebay
payment page is paypal
palpal is not collecting the gst .....ebay is
curency conversion is made at the payment page . You should know that
i dont know why it is but it is clear from the copy paste
maybe ebay have made a mistake
maybe ebay are subsudising

Maybe ? , who knows what ebay are trying to do.
This new Ebay plus is trying to encourage online sales as their data shows australain online sales are rather low compared to alot of other countries
maybe they are subsudising the other @ 5% and using it as a tax write off like the ebay plus is done ?

I can't see ebay subsidising anything. It's more likely a mistake on their part.

Ebay are subsiding somepostage with Ebay plus .
but thats a good idea. not sure how ebay know that. and not a true way to tell per company or business, as they could be using other online selling methods
but i did removed 2 items and it still shows the same GST .
item is from germany, seller has 7000 feedback . i doubt he has sold $75k to australia , as alot of his feedback is not in english
items removed were from the US and Ukraine
label value Item (1) AU $124.76
Postage ( my location )AU $12.65
GST AU $13.75
Total AU $151.15
who knows then . maybe its a mess like Ebay plus was for awhile

i added them back to cart and the gst is alot more now.
maybe the GST tax is against ebay and not the individual seller then ??
because i know the seller from the Ukraine defenately wouldnt sell 75k to australia and gst is added to his item

This was why I originally asked had you gone through checkout as they said it wouldn't be added until you went to checkout. Maybe it's showing on one in the cart but the others won't show until you go to checkout, simply because it's malfunctioning.
