Hi guys,
So I've been using ebay for a while now (on my other account "miinahful") and I can't believe how many fake tiffany items are being sold on here. it's so difficult to spot the difference, but I've got a few hints that should help you decide if the item you're bidding for is authentic or not.
I've had a number of experiences with fake tiffany. most of the sellers were happy to refund, but i've had nasty sellers get angry that i refused to pay after realising it was fake. i understand on their part, so make sure you ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE BUYING/BIDDING!!!!!!!
I hope this helps anyone looking to buy jewellery online ๐

no worries guys ๐ also be incredibly wary of items being sold as 'sets'. These are almost 100% fake. I say almost, because even though i've never seen an authentic 'set' of tiffany jewellery being sold, there may be some out there. Although if they're an authentic 'set', you should expect to pay at least $300 for the total set. a set of tiffany earrings costs $170, and they're the cheapest ones on the online tiffany store. you can imagine how much your price would increase if you added a bracelet and a necklace to that mix! at least $500!
anyway, one more tip. don't tell the seller what you're looking for. just ask if there are markers on the jewellery or if there's anything written on it. if they say yes, ask them what it says.
good luck guys!

I find the easiest way to avoid fake Tiffany is to get someone to buy it for me when they are in New York, never had a fake yet.
(I love my sister and she loves shopping in New York.)
I also find that the colour of the genuine packaging is quite different when compared with the colour of the fake packaging.
