It is a cheap advertisement for them.

They could gets lots of negs for not supplying what the $1 pays

Report them and see if ebay do anything about it.

But I fail to see what it has to do with other seller fees.

It's about when sellers are paying huge selling fees that go towards eBay's running costs. (I know they also advertise) so when some people are paying no fees it's the honest people paying the price when fees are raised to cover the cheats

That is a completely messed up listing.............they are not charging $300 for anything.  The ad says that the kitchens are worth $300 per lineal metre.  Until someone actually buys a kitchen and has it measured up there is no way to know what the final cost will be.

I think what they are selling for the $1 is the right to get a quote.....as sparklz says, it is a cheap advertisement for the company but not avoiding fees as far as I can see.

One of their other listings is for a flat pack kitchen for thousands of dollars....they would be paying fees on the full amount of that listing.

Yes it's only a listing to get a quote, nothing more.

Similar to car wreckers, eBay don't have a way to list wrecking cars so sellers will show the model car that will be pulled apart and list at $1 saying it is for a wheelnut. Then potential buyers contact the seller to see what parts they still have from that car.

Apart from what has been already said, sellers pay fees on the sale price (plus postage) of anything they sell on eBay. So if they advertise a quote for $1, then sell 10 metres of kitchen @ $300/metre, they pay fees on $3,000, not $1.

If you're after a new kitchen, buy one and let eBay worry about the fees. I can assure they will make sure they are not out of pocket.
