maybe the email you received was the automatic email the seller had set up to reply to queries while he is on holidays?
In other words, he is not really ignoring you, he doesn't know about you. He might be one of those rare people who can go without their computer while on holidays
Also, if you have put 3 offers on the one item, that's the limit.
As replied earlier, if you really want the item urgently, best to look for a new seller.

Maybe your offers weren't good enough so the seller couldn't be bothered.I put in an offer for an item with a discount of $1.49 and the seller ignored it.

also, if you want the item urgently you may need to use the Buy-It-Now price and abandon the thought of getting it cheaper through Best-Offer.
Some sellers may leave offers unanswered to try to encourage those watching the item to jump in and buy it as others are also interested enough in the item to make an offer. In this respect, you making three offers on the item may be beneficial to the seller yet detrimental to you if you have no intention of paying the full asking price.
Some sellers are including the Best-Offer feature on Buy-It-Now listings even though they have no intention of selling for less. They do this because there is no longer a listing fee to use it.

Can buyers see that an offer has been made on something?
I don't know, haven't really looked, although I have noticed a lot of items with "make an offer' or Buy it now. Must go and have a peep.

yes they can, and at the conclusion of the listing they can normally see how much the offers were for. Take a look at listing number 230999706522 for a 1930 penny and you will see it has had 15 offers (but these offers have been made over a couple of listings and relists for this item).

A seller is replying by not replying, perhaps they prefer to wait to see if they get a better offer or think your offer so derisory that they don't think it warrants a response. I would probably ignore any offer more than 20% below the BIN price if I didn't have mine set to auto accept or refuse.
Whatever the reason the seller is under no obligation to reply and if they have let the first 2 offers time out I am at a loss to think why you wouls bother with a 3rd as the same thing is more than likely to happen again.

I offered a seller $1.49 less than the BIN price and they declined and this was an item that was $36.99 BIN so if this was declined then odds are that most of them will also get declined.
