After buying an item from <Removed>, it took me 20 phone calls, lots of messages, I was told lies, given false tracking numbers, then finally got a refund.
I left <Removed> neg feedback, only to find Ebay removed the feedback i left, the seller was back on 100% positive.
I contacted ebay saying that was my honest opinion of the trade with <Removed>, to be told <Removed> has a managed account, and any neg feedback can be removed...........is this legal?
Naturally, ive been watching<Removed> they have 7 neg feedbacks, all of which have disappeared and think-out are back on 100%
So, in my opinion, Ebay are allowing feedback and score manipulation, which is against Ebay policy, so Ive been told many times on the phone by the liars in "customer care".
So now i dont leave feedback because theres no point, if the seller can just get it removed.
Has anyone else experienced this Ebay CON?

I received a reply from ebay re my reporting of this seller. After copious thanks and flattering comments to make me feel good about reporting this seller, the canned response said:
"We take all reports seriously and will carry out a thorough investigation before taking the appropriate action. To protect the privacy of our members, we're unable to inform you of any actions we may take against another member."
So I guess the only way to know whether they take action is whether the negative feedback they get every day begins to stick. If it doesn't then I may need to take the info to some other entity who can apply pressure.

You have had the last 6 posts on this thread. No feedback/reinforcement from anybody else. Maybe that should tell you something.

Knock yourself out.
This is a fairly obscure board and, as I have noted, you will be talking to yourself.
If that's want you want, rather than solutions, or even validation, that is purely your choice.
But it is not recent eBay News, nor do eBay read your insights into their methods and procedures.
I have a brick wall handy, so I don't need to let the entire internet community (or at least those who would visit this board) know how ineffectual I am.

If you post this out on the trading boards you will be told by numerous members that the reply you have received from ebay is the same canned reply that everyone receives in reply to any report of any problem on ebay.
It is not written to you, it is not specifically addressing your particular problem....and you will never know what is done about it, if anything.
We have all been there, done that, at some time in our ebay careers and the trick is to take the advice of experienced members and don't waste your time or energy when it will do not good at all.
What authority do you think might get some action if you take this issue to them?

My time is mine to waste. If you feel that reading this thread is a waste of yours, then I also cordially invite you not to revisit it.
So many milk-toasters on these forums who continually accept wrong-doing by the Big E against them and then seem to be vehemently opposed to anyone who might show an interest in working to get some of these wrongs righted.
"It's no use" they say. "Nothing will happen". "It's been tried before". "No one cares" So, so sad.:-(
They sound like brainwashed victims of spousal abuse who make excuses for the abuse or simply say "it's just how he is". If that's how you roll, then that's awesome for you but until you grow some cojones, I'll place zero value on your opinions and "wealth of experience" posting on these forums .
However, I'm curious. What is this "authoriity" of which you speak?

The authority that I asked about was mentioned by you....albeit that you used the term "entity".
I was just interested to know what "entity" you thought may be able to help you. To the best of my knowledge other members have taken ebay problems to authorities/entities with no success at all.
I was just warning you that you will probably have exactly the same success rate....absolutely zero.
