Beware of seller; <Removed>

After buying an item from <Removed>, it took me 20 phone calls, lots of messages, I was told lies, given false tracking numbers, then finally got a refund.

I left <Removed> neg feedback, only to find Ebay removed the feedback i left, the seller was back on 100% positive.

I contacted ebay saying that was my honest opinion of the trade with <Removed>, to be told <Removed> has a managed account, and any neg feedback can be removed...........is this legal?

Naturally, ive been watching<Removed> they have 7 neg feedbacks, all of which have disappeared and think-out are back on 100%

So, in my opinion, Ebay are allowing feedback and score manipulation, which is against Ebay policy, so Ive been told many times on the phone by the liars in "customer care".

So now i dont leave feedback because theres no point, if the seller can just get it removed.

Has anyone else experienced this Ebay CON?

Beware of seller; <Removed>

My guess is that ebay may have invited them onto the platform. They are a highly specialised alternative power company, selling solar cells and alternate powered appliances. They have only been registered for around a year and have a bit over 400 feedbacks including 12 neutrals. Not big numbers for a protected seller.  This would indicate ebay view their products as something that is undersupplied, hence the special treatment.

Is it fair ??? Probably not, but nothing in the world is fair these days. Just ask the Olympics atheletes..

If anyone is wondering who the seller is they are called <Removed>, ebay keeps removing their name, probably part of the managed account con ebay are running to protect them

I am currently having issues with the same seller.

Someone forgot to redact all instances of said seller's name in this thread because I found it via a simple google search.

I noticed there were two instances of negative feedback on the seller's profile last night, but when I looked this morning the negative feedback had been converted to neutral feedback.

I am not sure how to process this information? If ebay is so blatantly protecting this bad seller, does this mean that I won't be able to get a refund? The item I ordered back on the 30th of March hasn't arrived and I am freaking out that it's going to be $239.99 down the drain. I don't make a lot of money and the item in question was supposed to be a birthday present so does this mean I am not going to be able to get my money back?!?

Yes they are con merchants, open a dispute with eBay and PayPal, they will get you your money back.
EBay shouldn't be protecting this type of seller, but I guess money talks.
EBay are just as guilty of fraud by protecting think-out and their practices.

I'm not sure how this topic in any way qualifies as 'recent eBay news'.

These topics are constantly raised on the real boards - specifically 'Buying'. Try there; there are a lot more members who are likely to treat your problems with less disdain. In that, if you can find this board, why can't you find the FAQ page that addresses these issues?

Treating my problem with disdain?

However, this thread does appear to be in the wrong section of the forums. Can a moderator move it?

Ummm.... yes.

Given the answers are blowing in the wind relevant fora. Maybe try posting in one of them, which this ain't. After, maybe (shock, horror) actually reading the eBay FAQs about your issue. Which would very likely negate your need to post at all.
