I bought a $1250,00 generator from Bigpond shopping on 15th December 2012, it has done less than 30 hours and has now died.
I want a warranty claim but looks like I am rat poo.
DANG!!

Gary, just looking at your feedback, you have bought from THE worst seller on ebay-not once, not twice but at least 3 times.
They trade under several names & good luck with getting anywhere with a warranty.
PLEASE check sellers feedback before buying. As it is,I think you'll be struggling with the company you have been given the info for as they are atrocious as well.

Bigpondshopping is alive & still selling on the Aussie auction site whose name begins with Q. (Can't name the name here due to ebay policy) Perhaps you could contact them via there?

Hi
Yes BPS was kind enought to contact me.
They offered to look at my generator and have it assessed for repair/replacement /refund.
All good, but I have to pay freight to Sydney and I think, have another person assess it and make a decision.
If they say that it is not a warranty claim I get to pay storage and pay freight to get it back.
I told them what the probelem with the motor was, I told them I was a qualified automotive tradesman since 1980, that I have specialised in engines always, that I am a Defence Department subject matter expert in small engines, and I actually work as a small engine mechanic for my living dubya dubya dubya dot thesmallenginebloke dot com but they need another opinion I guess.
I live in Darwin so I would be stupid to spend all this money on freight in the vain hope someone would give an objective assessment of the motor.
My opinion is not worth a cracker it seems.
No worry, the parts are avaiable from China for diddly so I will repair it myself, professionally ๐
Warranty claims........................hmmmm
