Hello,
I have noticed in recent times there seem to be a lot of sellers that state the item for sale is in this country, you purchase the item only to be told that the seller is in this country but the item is overseas.
Has anyone come across this, if so, how often?

Not so common as when it says the item is in Australia but the seller is registered overseas
BUT
It will always show the estimated delivery date before buying, which would be a very good clue the item is not local
Or the ad has to mention dropshipping, if a seller is doing that
What is the item number in this case?

Hello,
This is the latest one we have had trouble with, from making us wait an extra week ( you know because they are checking my size, even though it was given twice) To the item in Pakistan.
Aviator Pilot Ginger B3 RAF Real Fur Shearling Casual Winter Bomber Jacket
Item number: 315382082310
Regards.

You do not have to be made to wait an extra week from the date shown on the estimated delivery date on the item when you bought it
If the item does not arrive by the last estimated delivery date, you open and follow through with an item not received dispute
It does not matter what games the seller tries to play

That is common. I buy a lot of items that states Melbourne seller but its sent from Hong Kong. There are so many loopholes seller can do and get away with it.
I am done with these sellers and ebay needs to ensure protection for the buyers. Although ebay will not publicy tell you what action is taken. The seller will simply start a new account.

Is their something preventing you from simply clicking on a sellers feedback to see where they are Registered?
One seller who has left you feedback multiple times clearly shows as being Registered in China.
I do not have the problems you have by simply looking at a sellers feedback before every purchase.
I know this takes a few seconds to do but I recoup that time by not having to spam the boards over & over.

Exactly
Very easy and simple to do
Even if the seller did start a new account it would still show they are registered in China

It's been going on for over 10 years and nothings changed... the rise of 4PL (forth party logistics) has proliferated.

You never have to wait past the estimated arrival dates.
If I were you, I would write them down whenever you make a purchase.
Make a note of it.
Once that window has passed, you can go into ebay and open an item not received claim.
You don't have to mess around with contacting the seller and so on. Don't let a seller sidetrack you.
If a seller is checking your size multiple times, even after you have given it, that is not a sign of competence anyway. Doesn't matter what excuses they give, it is their responsibility to get the item to you on time. End of story.
Before you buy, always, always double check where the seller is registered as well as where the item is supposedly located. Plus check feedback. If the seller has a pattern of late delivery, it will often show up in feedback.
What you have described- seller here but item overseas, that does happen, but more commonly it is item listed as here but seller is registered overseas. It is all quite legal in ebay world.
But the bottom line in your favour is the item has to arrive in the advertised time frame. Otherwise you are entitled to a refund. Probably you are being too kind and patient with some of these sellers.

adamrachO....As already advised, don't wait one minute longer than the last estimated delivery date to open an item not received dispute.
Please update this thread if and when you receive the jacket.
The photos and items from this seller are all over the internet.
All of the information below the " Item Description from Seller" is a copy and paste from somewhere, with
rubbish showing a "Fake Review" and that they're a "Reliable UK seller".
They've sold 90 items although strangely, the positive feedback they've received appears to be genuine.
