Bought an item already but accidentally submitted old adress

Now the old address isn't all that far from where I live actually, but it's an abandoned house atm, so no one is living there. When the postman delivers the item and no one is there, does the seller get notified that the item will be sent to the nearest post office or something or how does this work?

Below are the relevant messages related to my situation about wrong address, with expected delivery date.

Cheers.

If the seller used an Aus Post trackable service, and included your contact details (either an email address or phone number) on the label, then if they provide the tracking number you can redirect the parcel through My Post, but it's best to do it at least 2 days before the delivery day.

I got the impression from an earlier comment that the seller is unable to provide the tracking number to the OP.

OP, if the seller still has it, you should definitely have them provide it to you - it'll help solve your problem.
