Broken bowl

I bought a china cat bowl from a seller in the UK. Upon it being delivered it was in about 6 pieces. Should I ask for a refund and/or replacement or is it up to sellers discretion about what they do about the problem. I could glue it back together I guess.Thanks.

Why not take a photo then send a message to the seller and say you wanted to let them know what had happened to the bowl & it was like this on delivery.

Most likely the seller will refund you but if not, you can put in an item not as described claim.

Totally up to you what you do in regards to contacting the seller and what you ask for if you do, but *if* the bowl was indeed for use by a cat, I certainly would not be using glue on it,poor cat could end up poisoned ,even well after the glue has dried

As suggested, sned the seller a photo in messages of broken item and see what they offer.

Personally I would take a refund as it may happen again considering the seller may not pack well enough.

I can't help but agree with enigmabear's point. Perhaps you can glue the bowl together with a non-toxic glue (I've heard that hot glue guns use glues that are safe for plants, for instance) and use it as a decorative plant holder in the garden... or make a mosaic with the broken pieces... (to avoid sending it to landfill since unfortunately china and crockery cannot - at present - be recycled).

As springyzone and kopenhagen have said, I would take a photo of the broken cat bowl and let the seller know that this is how it arrived. I'd mention that the way in which it was packed was possibly not adequate to withstand the rigours of delivery - and then see if a refund is offered. If it's not offered, that would be the time to consider opening a claim.

(If you can repurpose the bowl, then perhaps a partial refund would be suitable. Your choice...)

michelle, can you clarify whether the bowl is intended for use:

- by a cat for food, milk or imported treats . . . . .

OR

- a bowl with a cat image/print on it for use by you (or a guest)

i think she knows its a dog bowl and is angry at me, still eats her food but has that 'your feeding me out of a dog bowl' look.
