I am a buyer and a seller on Ebay and think that if a seller offers an item for "Buy It Now or Best Offer" that they should be required to respond either by accepting, declining or counter-offering - not just ignoring the offer. It leaves a bad feeling when you feel your offer has been ignored altogether. If they are not willing to respond to best offer then don't make the listing that way!!

I have experienced that it sometimes takes time for the seller to respond, once it took 3 days b4 I received a response and by the way it was declined.

A courteous yes or no would suffice. Although recently I discovered that at the end of a listing the offers are displayed and seeing my offer I made me think I probably wouldn't have replied to such a pitiful offer either ๐

Put a condition in that your offer will be null and void within xxx hours - thats what I do if I wish to speed up the offer process - and get back to shopping for the item I am looking to buy quicker.
That way you have set your own timeline and can move on more quickly.

Hahaha I get offers even when I am not soliciting them in my listing ! I do respond to everything the good the bad and the down right ugly. lol ( oh and there has been ugly!):|

It is the right thing to do,So i always respond.
But when somebody offers you $2.00 for an item that you have $20.00 on.
You do feel like ignoring them. But some peoples offers are pretty rude as well.

I can't be bothered with replying to ridiculously low offers so always have mine set to automatically accept or refuse.
As a buyer it wouldn't bother me at all if they didn't reply to my offer, I wouldn't be looking for a reply other than it appearing in my won items. I rarely look at the email accounts linked to my buying and posting ids.

If I receive offers that are insultingly low (wow, insultingly is a word!), I immediate decline them. I don't even counter offer.
But I never EVER ignore an offer, and I don't ignore messages either.
I don't believe any decent seller should.

Spot on dotcom! (hey I made a rhyme)
When I was young my parents incessantly quoted this to me:
" Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"......I live my life by it in every aspect.
(and they say brainwashing children doesn't work hahahaha) ๐ฎ

haha, oh brainwashing works! ๐
That's a good mantra to live by, Retail.
BTW .. I have to say this ... Every single time I see your name, I always see it as "Retail The Rapist". :^O
*wonders if a slap is coming for that* - *rolls eyes*
