Hello
A buyer won 2 of my items, however when it was time to pay, they tried using their iphone and were unable to pay for items due to technical problems with their iphone or ebay or paypal systems (unclear to me and no fault of mine). They requested a cancellation and I agreed. The purchases were cancelled and I relisted my items as buyer did not want them. Buyer left me negative feedback. I contacted ebay and explained that I did not deserve the feedback as I did everything possible to please the buyer and cancelled the purchases at his request. Neither the buyer nor ebay wants to remove the negative feedback. Ebay is the one responsible for the fact that the buyer could not pay for item so why do i cop the negative feedback and what can I do?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

How did you cancel the transaction?
Did you send a Mutual Cancellation form to which the buyer agreed?
Do you have in your eBay messages the buyer saying they were unable to pay?
If so, go back to eBay and tell them to read your messages and plead your case again

There was lots of communication between the buyer and I. I understood that they had trouble paying because of iphone issues. The buyer requested a mutual cancelation form which I sent.

did they accept it?
They have to accept it.
I'd def ring eBay and if need be ask for a supervisor.
Going on what you are telling here, it is clear that it is eBays fault about the customers bad experience
although, I had a squizz at your follow up feedback earlier, and whilst I understand where you are coming from, I think I wionced a bit when I saw it - so remember if you bring the attention of the feedback to eBay they will also see your follow ups
Best of luck with it all

totally unprofessional response from you.
if you had have opened a non payr dispute and closed it, then they'd get a strike and could NOT leave fb
mutual cancellations mean they can leave whatever fb they like.
surely they could have gone to a friends house, or the local library or somewhere to access a computer to pay for their purchases.... non payers should be listed as non payers by issue of strikes.

You CAN get it removed , just ring eBay and quote them their own removal policy, note the last line i have high lighted in bold.
Removable
These types of Feedback comments may be removed:
Feedback that only refers to a listing's structured details when there aren't contradictory words or photos in the description. Structured details include:
Item condition
Item specifics
Return policy
Combined postage
Accepted payments
Example: If an item was listed with Used selected as the Item Condition, and negative Feedback only stated the item was "used", the Feedback is removed.
Negative or neutral Feedback stating a seller "did not respond", but we determine that the seller responded to the buyer's email in good faith, using member to member messages.
Feedback- or DSR-related defects as a result of the following situations:
A buyer requested the cancellation of the sale due to no fault of the seller, and the seller cooperated with the buyer's request.
