I've just been trying to adjust my postage costs on my Canna Lily listings, as Aust. Post postage costs has risen today. WHAT A SURPRISE!
It seems eBay has the wrong info for CANNA LILY plants being used for some sort of 'drug or medicinal' purposes! NEWS TO ME & I've been breeding & collecting canna varieties for some 20yrs!
After some lengthly discussion with an eBay Team Member (I got them to phone me) about this Notification being INCORRECT, it seems I got nowhere!
I read various amounts of info to the person, gave them suggested sites to check for the correct info .. including the Aust. Quarantine notification that all plant sellers get when listing .. TRYING to explain that CANNA LILY plants (to be accurate, they aren't lilies at all!) are NOT related to, or have anything to do with, CANNABIS!
They are the only plant in the Family: Cannacaceae. I also suggested that they check the site for Wiki & look up Canna Plants.
be given to the Management Team to EXPLAIN the correct info for them .. hoping to have this ridiculous 'restriction notification' being shown, which STOPS any listing of Canna plants/rhizomes!
Seems it will be forwarded to 'The Management' .. here's hoping!
IF YOU ARE ALSO HAVING THIS PROBLEM .. I was told it had been bought up y'day .. PLEASE CONTACT eBay & HELP get this mis-information restriction removed! I've done all I can!
* BTW: I relisted some Canna Seeds & also adjusted some postage .. WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS! Go figure!
HAPPY GARDENING EVERYONE!

When you have a problem it is often better to come here to the forums and ask as Ebay employees in their call centres are often useless. It is unlikely that your info on your cannas will be looked into or that 'management will get to hear of your issue - it is just said to get you off the phone.
Sometimes you have to reword a listing to get it to go through, as you found with the seeds. Ebay is mostly just a computer program and your listing problem will not get looked at, it doesn't care.
