I paid straight away then next day seller advised that he no longer had the item as it had been accidentily donated to a charity. He advised he has refunded my payment.

Further to my original (opening) post, I don't necessarily wish to leave feedback but am wondering why the option to leave feedback is no longer available.

You can no longer leave feedback because the transaction has been cancelled and you have been refunded

Unless things have changed crow, cancelled transactions should still appear underneath "purchase history" and feedback should still be an option.

No because I purchased an item that I won and the seller cancelled it and refunded, and the whole transaction disappeared so I couldn't leave any feedback.
I think it might have something to do with what option the seller chose when they cancelled thus not giving me the chance to leave feedback.

OK just found the way to leave feedback, because the transaction has disappeared from purchase history I went into my account and then clicked on feedback in the leftside pane and the transaction appeared there because the seller had left feedback for me lol.
When I originally clicked onto my feedbacks and clicked onto the sellers feedback they left for me there was no options to leave feedback so that's why I gave up in the first place haha.
So OP you might try what I did and see if that works?

Hi bestrice, I'm sorry to hear of your inconvinience. Could I please ask you how much you won the item for and how many bids were in the auction? Do you think the item may have been one for a price lower than what the seller was hoping for?

Of course OP won it for way less than the seller wanted for it,just recently I won 2 items cheaply but the seller stated that they ran out of the item blah blah and cancelled the transaction but being a long term ebayer I just brushed it off and moved on without any drama lol.

I'm sorry to hear that. It is an annoying thing. Sellers need to place the opening bid at a higher price.
