The seller is in the uk. I have bought of them before.I assume you paid for your previous purchases with the seller by PayPal. If so, you have an email address that you can use to contact the seller. Just go back through your PayPal transaction list and look at the email address the payment went to.
WARNING: If the seller has stopped members from contacting them through their listings they may be majorly p'd off by someone circumventing this situation by contacting them through email. So, proceed at your own risk, be careful how you word your email should you go down this path.
NO! What seller would feel that with an exemplary repeat buyer?

If the seller is not accepting questions then there is no way to get around it and asking ebay is a waste of time....they cannot override a seller's blocks.
If it is an overseas seller it often means they do not sell internationally and have blocked all queries from overseas buyers as well as not accepting bids.

Sellers overseas are also given the option to block all questions from members that are not involved in a transaction with them.

I want to ask a seller a question about an item but when I try to send a message it is showing a note on website stating "seller has got a large volume of enquiries and cant accept any more at this time"(well similar). The message has been there for about 5 weeks now. Does anyone know how to override this or do I have to talk to ebay about it.
if they are a large volume seller with thousands or even tens of thousands of items listed then you may be one of many members asking or trying to ask a question.
Lets say that a large volume seller with thousands of listings gets 500 questions from current and potential buyers from all over the world in a multitude of languages in a day. If they spend 8 hours a day reading and answering questions then that means they need to translate, read and answer more than one question per minute, every minute for 8 hours straight. Maybe they get sick of answering inane questions about something that is covered in their description and shipping tabs. I know I do!
Now, michelle, I am not suggesting that your questions would be inane as that is something I am not qualified to judge, but can you let us know how many listings the seller in question has? Where is the seller located? Is it China?
How to override your current impass . . . . . well . . . . . re-read the description very very carefully and try to find your answer there, or look harder to find another seller, or check the feedback of the seller. Maybe they have poor DSRs for Communication or feedback comments saying "poor communication" or "would not answer questions" and all your angst is in vain. Move on.
