I haven't either, but I reckon they'd cost a packet to post. Make sure you check delivery costs before purchase as it may work out cheaper to buy locally when you factor in delivery. Don't buy any from any Asian countries, regardless how tempting the prices are.

Now theres a scary thought.

There are high quality car hoists sold at clearance auctions of mechanics and car service centres, tyre joints etc. on a regular basis. I sometimes attend these auctions and have seen many of these hoists go very cheap as it is a major job removing them and getting them back to your premesis. Virtually all car hoists from these types of businesses are commercial quality and would meet Australian Safety standards. Second hand hoists on ebay may be worth a look if they are of similar quality, but I wouldnt trust my life on a cheap, no brand, flat packed car hoist.

Check the auctions section of your states main newspaper on Saturdays for upcoming auctions or check the used listings on ebay for a quality ex mechanics hoist.
