Cart - multiple item payment issue - still not resolved

Paying for multiple cart items - can’t checkout

This has been going on for months and months, since July actually, when the gst functionality came into play. Not sure if that is related or not.
When trying to check out my shopping cart if I have more than a few items in it, (but under the maximum limit), I get the error “WE CAN’T PROCESS YOUR PAYMENT. PLEASE SELECT A DIFFERENT PAYMENT METHOD OR CHECK YOUR PAYMENT DETAILS”.
I have done everything to try to fix this. My Paypal and ebay delivery details are identical, I have unlinked and re-linked my details.
The sellers are not the problem as you can pay individually. It’s also always when there is lower value items from China added.
This is an absolute scam as I have missed out on so many discount coupons and sale events by not being able to meet the min spend criteria.
Finally after months of this, I called ebay Plus customer service. I was told that this is a glitch that ebay are aware of, and that they are still trying to fix it. When I asked how long it had been going on for, she told me ‘a couple of months’ !!!
That was in September.
It still has not been fixed

NOT HAPPY.

Re: Cart - multiple item payment issue - still not resolved

could it be that if there are domestic (non-GST) items intermingled with overseas/import (GST applicable) items that the system has a hissy fit?  You have posted that it happens when there are cheap Chinese junk items in the cart.  These would be GST applicable.

If you do have a mix of items then try this.  Remove all overseas/import items and try checkout of ALL the domestic items.  Then, having put all the overseas/import items on your watch list, put them back in your now empty cart then checkout ALL items again.

Not sure if this will work, but it would make sense that eBay have not got a handle of members having GST applicable and GST Free items in the one cart checkout.
