Can someone explain why the postal charges change on ebay depending on which page you are reading ? I am bidding on an item OS and when I first placed my bid the charges were reasonable . They show these same charges on my watch page as well as my bidding page but when I enlarge the item details the postage almose doubles and now mentions Global. I tried ringing ebay but got no real help. Can anyone here help me PLEASE??

Especially if it's an overseas seller, often the listing will show postage to their local country but give the GSP rates if the seller has been opted into the GSP.
You can ask the seller if they are prepared to send via the normal postage service of their country as they may not be aware they were automatically opted into the GSP. (UK and USA sites)
The GSP is a slow and expensive service. The seller sends it to the company handling the GSP, the company then often repacks and sends it to you provided it meets all their restrictions which at times are ridiculously strict.
If the seller is not prepared to use the postal service then perhaps retract your bid and find another seller if the overall price is more than you are prepared to pay.
