So, I have ordered an item for Woolies Click & Collect delivery. The item tracking shows that the item was delviered and signed for yesterday morning. I have received no text message to advise me to collect. Anyone know who I should be pursuing to find out what's happended?

Go to the woolies and see if you can collect the item, and if you run into trouble then just ask a staff member to find out what has happened.

Without the code in the email it is not possible to collect the item.....or it should not be possible. The code is the only authorisation that is accepted.

Well then there is a big problem because someone has already done that.

Not necessarily.
I took it to mean it was signed for by the store, signifying they had it in their possession.
Given a code is required, unless eBay sent the code to the wrong person, who also happened to be expecting something at the same store, it is highly likely the goods are still at the shop.

Yes, the courier tracking says it's been delivered to and signed by Woolies, but there's been no sms from them. I've since been to the store and, at the moment, it's MIA.

Go the same problem as well. Item delivered to woolworths but no SMS notification from eBay. You think the cause of this is the Woolworths employee failing to scan the item into the mobile device that links to eBay? Hence the code not received? If this is the case, is the only option to contact eBay and get them to sort it out?
This is the second time I have had a parcel go MIA that was to be delivered to woolworths. If it is necessary for a woolworths employee to scan the parcel using the mobile device, then there is a lack of training and awareness. Thus as the buyer, it is very inconvenient that our parcels are dependent on a part-time/casual woolworths employee!

Yep. Which is why I would never use the service. All it does is add another link in an already weak chain.

@chiss_007,
I ONLY use click and collect.
the sms feature went out months and months ago. You now receive an email to say that your parcel has been delivered. That’s your *cue* that it’s arrived at your collection point and ready for pick-up.
I will say, though, that I don’t purchase via eBay anymore (if it can help it) my email notification actually comes from the P.O. or delivery service.
Not sure what Ebay sends. (Don’t really care either, tbh) 😉😉

Contacted eBay and just as I suspected, eBay is only notified if an employee scans the parcel into a mobile device that is linked to eBay - hence that is the only way they know! Therefore, if you have a parcel that is to be delivered to your local woolworths and it is not sent with tracking, then there is no way of knowing if the parcel has actually arrived. Like @davewil1964 stated; "weak chain".
In relation to receiving notifications from eBay regarding collection of parcel @janeababe, eBay still provides both options to receive notifications via SMS and email. All parcels I have selected for click n collect I select both options.
I spoke with an eBay representative. She was unable to assist but has directed, quote, "a click and collect team member" to call be back soon to resolve the issue.
Hopefully eBay can locate both parcels that are currently MIA.
