Confused about Best Offer

Hi, I just bought an Item with a best offer but I am a bit confused.

The Item I bought was $45 orignally with free postage, I put an offer of $30 in then the seller counter offered with $30, but it said Offer terms were + $10 postage. I accepted his counter offer but when I pay it now says i only need to pay $30, saying that postage is not included in best offer price.

I'm confused as too what it means and why it is only letting me pay $30, I am worried the seller won't accept that and issue me a refund and not give me the item.

Confused about Best Offer

The offer price should only include the item price, but if an item is listed as 'free post' and the sellers terms for accepting a $30.00 offer was to add on $10.00 for postage, the only way for the seller to charge the full total ($40.00) is to send you a revised invoice with the postage cost added on.

If you have not paid for the item yet, you can request an invoice from the seller by locating the item in your purchase history - it should be in the menu options on the right, if you click the arrow to bring up the dropdown menu.

If you have paid for the item and the extra $10 still needs to be paid, the seller will either have to refund and reissue the invoice, or send an independent invoice (typically via PayPal) for the remainder - just be aware that making two payments for one transaction can compromise your PayPal buyer protection (if that is indeed a concern), so the best thing would be to wait for a revised eBay invoice.
