Ifa buyer is going to score a low rating for an item, why doesn't this get followed by a query - Did you contact the seller re this problem?. Iam sick of people giving low ratings for various aspects before checking with me about the problem. Most buyers don't realise that the postage sticker does not include insurance etc, or the high cost of packing fragile items. If they don't believe that their item matches the description they should contact theseller. Not all sellers are close enough to a PO to be able to post items every day - worst of all are those who take a long time to pay and then expect their item to arrive next day!
I refuse to give a low rating to a seller unless I have had to contact the seller and the problem has not been rectified, or a good reason given. If the problem is resolved then no low rating.
Buyers should have to justify low ratings, Ebay needs toensure that this happens.

Personally, I'd rather eBay just stopped using them to dish out consequences to sellers.

My postage time star dropped because it took AP an extra day to deliver the item that I posted on the same day as payment was
received,(the buyer even stated that in the feedback).
So it doesn't matter what a seller does as it's the buyers perception of how the transaction went and they'll give low stars even if
they know it's not the sellers fault.
They don't punish sellers with hundreds of negative feedback given in a month but they punish sellers that have received a few
low stars,(where is the logic in that).
It's an unjust system and as stated,it shouldn't be used against sellers.
