If your seller uses courier delivery make sure they don't use E-Go Couriers.
E-GO Couriers (Couriers Australia) are the very woprst experience I have had with a parcel delivery, they offer tracking but all it does is tell you when they picked the parcel up from the seller. You can't ring them, you can only contact them by email and there standard response to enquiries is ..... "It will be delivered some time next week" ... They picked up my parcel, then it sat in their Melbourne depot for four days before they decided to forward it on (So their websit tracking system says) then nothing! Their estimated time for delivery was 3 to 5 days, after waiting 10 days and no delivery I contacted them and received their response ... "Your consignment will be delivered some time next week".
I still haven't received it and no one there seems to have the feintest clue as to where it is, their only response ... "it should be delivered some time next week" ...
I have been able to find out that they move their freight from depot to depot, how long it sits in their depots before being forwarded on, even they don't know that.

As a buyer you cannot dictate which delivery service a seller uses. You can ask before bidding/buying if they use a particular courier and choose to buy from them or not depending on their answer.
If you have waited more than a reasonable time for delivery and the seller is not chasing it up open an item not received dispute through Paypal (not ebay, keep that for not as described)

Most disgruntled at the misleading title on this post.
Opened it up expecting wisdom on some magnificent device for making tasty Indian style dishes only to find it was, in fact, related to the discussion of some wretched delivery method instead!
