The inverters being sold directly from chine are rubbish!! They will only handle about a quarter of their rated capacity in summer and no more than half if kept at 20 degrees or below. If you put more solar input than that they WILL burn the output transistors!!!

I can't imagine why anyone would buy anything from China or anywhere else overseas, that would prove uneconomical or impossible (in the case of lithium batteries) to return if it was not as described oranything that was likely to fail after the 45 day limit for a Paypal dispute.

I remember your previous thread on this topic :

You seem to know a bit about these inverters, so I suggest you write an eBay buying guide on this subject and post a link to the guide to one/both of your threads, OR, start a third thread titled "Why you should not buy inverters from China" and post a link to that thread.
Good luck with your efforts to educate eBayers on this topic.

Unfortunately....had similar experience and agree OP's opinion on this. Bought product from a 'reputable' Australian based company who admitted that they imported the offending inverter from Bhina. It was *carp. Could have literally killed us!! no joke-as advised by an electrician after the event. It burnt out in under 2 weeks. We insisted on a replacement that was NOT from same country of origin/manufacture and were happy to pay the extra for a quality/safe/properly constructed product and which met the appropriate and necessary Australian Safety Regs.

The Australian companies advertising the cheap deals for solar inverters & panels are from China, we reasearched very heavily before installing solar, we paid a lot more money but our inverters & panels were manufactured in Germany and are reviewed as the best, this was also verified by our sparky. They have been working beautifully since connected no problems at all.
