Did I purchase a fake nutribullet?

Hi everyone, I purchased a nutribullet this afternoon on here. I have since discovered there are fake ones and now I'm worried. I emailed the seller and they replied that they have reputable suppliers but the nutribullet website states they are the only Australian resellers. Can anyone offer any advice here I am so confused.

Don't buy nutribullets on eBay. They are almost guaranteed to be fake.

Thanks.

I don't buy very much online, eBay or not, and research thoroughly what I do.

If it seems too good to be true, it almost definitely is.

My last major purchase from here was a computer. But I knew the seller was honest and the computer was as described. But I certainly wouldn't normally buy electronics or appliances from an unknown seller anywhere on the internet.

I don't recall anyone here mocking worried buyers. There have been quite a few who said theirs caught on fire which is of great concern to everyone. Mostly what people here are saying is, if it looks too good to be true, then it probably is.

Choice found the nutribullet to be superior to 14 similar products ranging from $20 to over $800 for nutrition extraction. It was one of three products they recommended from the 15 tested and overall score came 2nd to a $800 product. I thought it was all marketing hype (having a marketing degree myself) but after reading the choice report I am going to buy one. I make smoothies in my blender most days and it does a decent job but it takes up valuable bench space, is messy (always mange to flick some when i take off the lid), is a pain to clean around the blades, and doesn't pulverize berry seeds well. Those reasons combined with the fact that it actually is superior in extracting nutrients as it claims to be is enough to sell me.

Ps. Anyone who has bought a fake and is not getting help from the seller, ebay or paypal, try consumer affairs- or first threatening the seller/ebay/paypal to go to consumer affairs.

Most of the fakes are coming from China where CA can't do anything about it.

Until it catches of fire, which seems to be a common thing with the fakes.
