Hi,
so I bought a mobile repair part and it was not as described, as well as defective. I contacted the seller to initiate a return process. The seller was terrible, they did not want to refund the item no matter what. I asked ebay to step in and ebay got me a full refund including my shipping costs.
I asked ebay how to go about returning the defective item to the seller. Ebay told me that the seller would send me the amount via paypal or a return postage label so i can return the item back to them at no cost to me. I messaged the seller outlining what ebay told me and I would be awaiting the postage label so I can return the item. The seller has not replied, nor have i recieved the return postage label or a payment for return shipping. Ebay has now since closed the case and awarded me a refund in my favour.
What I want to know is, how long do I have to wait for the seller to send me a return postage label before I can forget about returning it? I don't want to pay out of my pocket and I am a busy person, I feel this seller is wasting my time and I don't go on ebay that often, sometimes months at a time. Is there a timeframe in which if the seller doesn't give me means for a return I do not have to return?

If you have already received the refund and the seller has not asked for the item to be returned then just forget about it.
If the item is defective it is probably not worth the seller's while paying to get it back.

Ok thanks for the info. Just curious, what if say, a month or 2 down the track, the seller request the item, am i required to return it, or is it not necessary? I ask because right now i have it placed in a perculiar spot in my office and don't want to keep it lying around.

Perhaps you could send one more message to the seller and if you get no response in 48 hours, then the seller has no interest in paying for its return.
As Lyndal1838 said, if it IS defective, the seller would not want yo pay for a defective item's return.

If, on the off chance, a month or two later the seller requests you return the item they'll still have to pay for return postage, so it's not going to happen.
Forget about it, the seller probably has already and Ebay has closed the case.
