Do not buy anything from EBay Global shipping. Their descriptions of service are lies. In my case the ad listed 'International Priority' yet it has been a month for shipping from the US to Australia and the package still hasn't arrived in this country. The price for shipping was $80USD. I accepted it under the context of 'Priority' thinking it would be a week to 10 days and here we are a month later.
Ebay offer no protection for the buyer under this. The seller was not even aware I was in another country so Ebay flat out lie to them as well.
Customer service do not care about the delay in shipping and they just put off any action you raise to solve the problem, simply telling you to suck it down and wait. This company is rubbish and their service is rubbish. Their fees for selling have also become ridiculous.
Anyone with similar experience please post your thoughts.
AVOID Ebay International shipping at all costs. In fact - avoid Ebay at all costs.

Get you facts straight before sounding off.
Global Shipping does not sell anything.....it is just what it says....a logistics company that arranges international shipping.
It is an International Priority shipping service as it uses a dedicated courier (FedEx) to ship to Australia, not just any commercial shipping service.
It has always been expensive and slower than a lot of other shipping services.
Like all shipping services at present it is slower than normal because of the coronavirus restrictions.
Ebay offer no protection for the buyer under this. The seller was not even aware I was in another country so Ebay flat out lie to them as well.
All the usual buyer protections are available under the GSP.
As far as the seller is concerned it does not matter where you are....he only ships to Erlanger KY which is local to him. Ebay has not lied....the seller has no responsibility for the overseas shipping.
Once the parcel reaches the GSP depot the seller has nothing more to do with it as all the paperwork for international shipping is done by Pitney Bowes.....the seller is completely protected as the parcel is tracked and insured as well at no cost to him.
Customer service do not care about the delay in shipping and they just put off any action you raise to solve the problem, simply telling you to suck it down and wait. This company is rubbish and their service is rubbish. Their fees for selling have also become ridiculous.`What has customer service got to do with any shipping delays....under normal circumstances (before COVID 19 reared it's ugly head) the turnaround at Erlanger was usually 1-3 days before the items were handed over to FedEx. No doubt it is longer now as ALL shipping services worldwide as severely hampered by coronavirus restrictions.
I am not sure why you would blame the GSP for shipping delays when the whole world is affected adversely.
And as previously said....they do not sell anything so can not charge selling fees.
They do however provide services such as processing the paperwork for the international shipping....for which they do charge.
Anyone with similar experience please post your thoughts. You will surely get a few replies from members offering sympathy and plenty of horror stories.
Nobody has ever accused the GSP of being cheap or fast and it is certainly slower at present....just the same as shipping services all over the world.
Just do as the customer service suggested....suck it up and wait.
Or do what most of us do....avoid it like the plague.
But at least understand it before sounding off.
AVOID Ebay International shipping at all costs. In fact - avoid Ebay at all costs.

Hi rugal2010. You're right! I hear you and I agree with what you say. I avoid it like I would a couple or dudes with shiney blades in a dark alley on my pay day. I've had some bad experiences with it but I won't go into them.
I'm sorry to hear of your situation and I hope that this is the last one that you'll have to endure.
There is some good news for next time though. Many sellers will be happy to change from GSP to USPS if you ask them and you can save a lot of money. I have a better than 95% rate in asking them. Also many sellers have no idea that their auctions have had GSP attatched to them for overseas shipping. Some don't know how it's happened. Heck, one seasoned seller in the US had no idea what GSP was and half of his auctions (approx) were listed as USPS and other half as GSP. And the items were dvd's , magazines etc. spread across on both.

Having purchased Three(3)45rpm records from USA to AUS.having checked agreed postage with seller(2 diffferent)as advertised it, amounted to more than double the cost on both occasions when the purchase had been made, the "seller"claimed to have no control on postage charged, labels printed by "E-bay"no refund offered by any party, sadly I will not purchase thru e-bay in future after this blatant rip off & sellers &e-bay lose out on any future sales irrespective of product purchased pretty shortsighted move by e-bay all round you just gotta"clip"the ticket on everything ,just totalled up goods "I Didn't buy"US$786.85 sad outcome for all.
