The AFL card collecting fraternity need to be on the lookout for sellers retailing fake hand signed cards. Recently I bought a group of Richmond cards from a yellow star South Australian seller. On arrival I compared the cards to the advertised photo and to previous year cards that I had of the players and found the cards to be of no similarity to the authentic cards.
The fear that I have is that it undermines the element of trust needed between seller/buyer and brings into disrepute the ebay method for procurement. The other violation is the exploitation of the footballer whom someone is trying to capitalise on defrauding there lawful signature.I have never relied on a lie to sell something in my life and to have somebody do that to me is quite a violation of my trust.
Typically with ebay you do deal with low socio-economic sellers who demand instant payment and are generally patience challenged, but some are now just becoming low life crooks.

You can open an item not as described dispute with Paypal if it was your payment method but they will require proof that the autographs aren't genuine. That will be more productive than expressing your various opinions here.

Not sure if you are giving good advice here or being a critical of a freedom of speech. Maybe we can hide the fact that this is happening?

Unless the seller wants to co-operate with you I think your best chance is to open a Paypal dispute - that is my advice.
The other point I've tried to make before is that you don't need to fill your sentences with words that not everyone can follow or easily understand. It may be seen as criticism however I offer it as advice also.

I can understand your " rhetoric " and I can detect sarcasm but not everyone wants to read a one thousand word essay that contains words that belong more in Wikipedia than here. This isn't the correct place for your thread either but no doubt that is unwelcome news. It may receive more interest in the Buying section of the Discussion Boards. It's a place to seek advice and information not disagreements.

Ebay is not the only place you can buy fake autographed items, of course people should be aware that they could be fake and should know how to get their money back and report the scammers but I would have thought that was pretty obvious to any collector.
