Faulty USB sticks

I purchased 4 faulty USB sticks . No matter what I do I cannot get them to work.

The shop owner offered a number of times to replace them but did nothing about it. Today I went into the shop asking for replacement or money back and find they have run out of USB sticks.  Owner can't be trusted to keep their word. Won't shop there again. 😞

Faulty USB sticks

What does this have to do with eBay?

If it was an eBay transaction what is preventing you from using the eBay Money Back Guarantee?

If you bought them from the ebay shop, immediately open a dispute for item not as described, if it's within 30 days from the last estimated delivery date, then ask ebay to step in and help after 4 days, to get a refund. If you don't ask ebay to step in and help, the dispute will close and you'll lose your money.

Don't mess around contacting the seller again. They are a Chinese seller with atrocious feedback. Why you would have bought from them in the first place is beyond me (cheapest? You get what you pay for).

ALWAYS check a seller's feedback. ALWAYS check where a seller is registered. You can see that on the feedback page under their username. Don't look at where the item is allegedly located in the listing. If they are registered in China, even if the item does get sent from Australia (rare), it's going to be cheap garbage where it's an each way bet if it works or not.......or even safe.

I would be questioning why a high volume Chinese seller now has no active listings. Open a dispute to get your money back, and throw the sticks in the bin. Then, go to a local shop near you and buy a reputable brand. Might cost a bit more, but at least you know they will work. Plus, they will come with a valid warranty.

Once you've done all that, go into the ebay help pages and read up on the ebay Money Back Guarantee. That way you'll know how things work, so if you do have issues in the future, you won't just throw your arms in the air thinking you've lost your money. You'll know exactly how to get your money back. Hint, you only have 30 days from the last estimated delivery date to open a dispute, so don't let a seller string you out past that time. Don't even bother communicating with a seller, just open a dispute.
