Hi there,
I purchased an item that was described as brand new without tags. Upon receipt, I found there were two dark stains, the stitching had come undone on both sleeves and it wasn't fully lined (also described in the listing).
I contacted the seller about these faults and they offered a refund upon return. Fantastic.
I'd consider myself a reasonable person who understands we're human and mistakes can be made.
Then I noticed hand stitching on the sleeves - this item was clearly not purchased from a shop and never worn as stated.
I returned the top with a written explanation and received a refund that same day. Excellent - I am happy.
However, on the same day of refund/return the item has been relisted as near new and attracting bids.
This has really bothered me as the faults are easily seen.
Should I mind my own business, leave positive feedback as even though disappointed, the outcome was acceptable? Or should I warn potential buyers and leave neutral feedback?

My rules for leaving non pos feedback are simple.
If an item is not as described and the seller refunds on receiving a photo or condition report without me having to return it or they pay for the return and there is no obvious history of them doing it more than the once they get a pos.
If I have to open a dispute and they then refund without "see above" then it will be no feedback or a neut.
If I have to escalate to a claim, pay for return postage or, as in this case, it is not a one off then absolutely I would leave a neg.
Not new, stained and damaged, now relisted after costly return.

OP, the seller has now added footnote that item had marks but has since been drycleaned and is in pristine condition, and inside sleeve stitching has been repaired. This might ease your concerns a little.

The feedback you receive and the feedback you leave for others is a record for all to see. IMO you should only ever leave feedback you feel confident about leaving, and comfortable about others reading in the future - both on the sellers record, and more importantly your own.
I think that if you unsure about what feedback to leave or don't feel comfortable about it and need to seek the assistance of others to decide, then it would be better not to leave any feedback at all at this time, maybe even never.
You have some time to leave feedback, so maybe in a couple of weeks after the sting has gone out of seeing the item listed again with a misleading description, you will feel a bit more removed from it and more confident in deciding what to do without seeking affirmation from others.

Too late - damage done, and countered by seller by addition to their listing 😐

Aww, I like the look of a cardigan that seller has listed, at auction, but they describe it as 'gently worn' and now I know that could mean something pretty different.

"gently worn" rings some alarm bells to me

I agree with some others here - we rely on accurate item descriptions. Offering a refund on the basis that the description was inadequate is not enough. Seller descriptions need to be spot on and sellers that can't be bothered with accuracy should be tagged accordingly. Negative feedback at the least is appropriate. In genuine mistakes, packing errors, etc, I feel differently but not shoddy descriptions.

Seller has now changed listing description to state both fully lined & partially lined-didn't notice that earlier ;\

Yes gently worn while cutting back 6 large trees in the back yard. Not once did it get snagged on the chainsaw.
