Feedback timeout period.

Hello...

I'm pretty new on ebay but found some stupidity or I don't know how to do it right. What bother me?

I ordered some part. It isn't arrive within 45 days so I open paypal claim. Few days latter I got item so paypal claim was closed but I can't leave feedback as more than 45 days is passed...  That's stupid.

If I have 45 days to receive item and then another 20 days for paypal claim and if claim is escalated then paypal take even more time to solve. But buyer can't leave feedback any more. If I leave negative feedback when open paypal case and then all thing is solved I can't change the feedback.

And buying something from china in days that come will probably take more than 45 days!

What is the solution or correct workflow?

Yes, you are rather new on ebay...in Slovenia.

You are ranting here on the Australian boards about how stupid the system is.  While I cannot vouch for the rules of the Slovenian site I do know that much of what you are saying does NOT apply here.

Firstly you have 60 days here in which to leave feedback, not 45.   Have you actually tried to leave feedback for the transaction you have mentioned?

Also if you do leave a negative and the item then arrives you can ask your seller to send you a feedback revision request and you are then able to change the comment and the star ratings.

I know nothing about your postal service but here in Australia 45 days is more than enough time for items to arrive by airmail from anywhere in the world.  The extra 15 days for leaving feedback is just a bonus.

Before having any more to say about the stupidity of the system I suggest you check the rules of your site and see just what they do say.....not what you think they say.

I didn't realized that I'm postink in Australian... Even I don't know how I reach there. Sorry.

In our country there are no local ebay. (Slovenia) So I use Ireland one as text is in english and prices in eur. The other in nearby are in german language but I don't understand it.

In previous month I do aprox 20 purchases and 3/4 arrives within 45 calendar days. The other are arrived after. And 3 of them seems to be lost.

The feedback icon comes grayed out after 45 days. I think that feedback should be possible while case is still opened (mean paypal case if issued).
