Feedback?

Has anyone else experiencing Buyers not leaving feedback? I have just had 5 of them in a row, which means I'm not getting my stars.

Of course not all buyers leave feedback, it is after all voluntary. Also sometimes a buyer isn't overly enthused about what they have purchased so don't leave any feedback rather than leave a less than pos. Some buyers leave feedback in bulk so they can do a lot at once, unless more than 60 days have gone by you cannot know if they are going to leave any.

 

If you stop worrying about feedback and concentrate on selling and providing excellent customer service the feedback will start to arrive eventually.

yes I have so many not leaving feedback I would have another 150 or so feedback by now.

It is quite natural to want those missing feedback but the main thing is to avoid getting negatives. The difference between 500 and 5000 positives is nothing compared to the difference between one and ten negatives.

I have noticed a steady and significant decline in the number of buyers leaving feedback over the past couple of years.  IMO some of this relates to the increase in number of smart phone buyers who seem to be less likely to leave feedback as the feedback process is less visible than on a desktop computer.

 

I still very much appreciate the feedback that is left by buyers, that they have taken the time to make comment, as well as using the  information it provides, as well as the DSRs, as a performance measure for my selling activities.  I have adjusted selling practices over the years due to this information the feedback system has generated, with positive results I think.

 

I also check out the feedback of other sellers in similar markets to ascertain if there are aspects of a purchase that have particularly pleased  buyers, that I might implement or focus more on myself.

I completely understand how frustrated you are. It is really deflating when you are trying to get to your ten fb/dsrs , dont worry it will come.

Customer care, great service and a quality product, if you concentrate on those things the dsr's will come as has been said already.
