As I was unable to leave feedback to inform and warn other Ebay members regarding an iPhone 6S Plus I purchased from this incompetent, unprofessional, and theiving seller <Removed>, I felt it necessary to inform you all on here to stay well clear! Apologies for the long read but this is the amount of **bleep** I had to go through with her!
The seller accepted my offer of $1,180 to purchase a brand new iPhone 6S Plus on 16th July 2016 with free postage which I paid for straight away through Paypal. (She sells quite a few iPhones so just be aware of the name if your shopping for a new one).
'Apparently' the item was sent to me but because I was not home the postman returned it straight back to the seller which is quite unheard of in my opinion for the postman/office to do this without even leaving me a note to pick the item up from the post office at a later time. However, I had no idea about this at the time until 2-3 weeks later when I messaged the seller asking where the item was? She said it had already been sent but apparently I provided the wrong adress which was a 'vacant house' with noone living in it in her opinion, yet details of where the item was sent stated my correct address. I politely asked her to resend the item even though I did not appreciate the fact she had had my purchase in her possession since its return for that long without even bothering to message me. She was quite happy to just keep my $1,180 with no further action needed!
Upon my request to her to resend the item, she asked me for yet more money for the phone or else she would not send it which is blackmail in my eyes. Then she proceeded to have a good old whinge and complain about the money she was missing out on since I am getting a bargain with the phone and its not fair on her even though she was the one that accepted my offer for the phone which was only about $40 less than her 'Buy Now' price. I told her that if that was the case she shouldn't have gone ahead and accepted my offer then, so getting her knickers in a twist about it was not my problem! She then proceeded to ignore every single message I sent her through July and August. I then accused her of being a theif and stated to her the least she could do is refund my money if she is not going to bother to send me the item or I will be taking the matter further.
I finally got a response from her on 14/08/16 which is over a month after I paid for the item! This was her exact response: "I told you I am interstate. I'm not flying back just to send your phone! If you want a refund just ask for it and you will get it minus the shipping and handling fee or you can take it as far as you want with whoever you want. If you'd like to be polite about it I'm back in Brisbane on the 24th and I can send it then!"
At no point did this seller tell me she was interstate which is irrevelant and besides the point anyway considering I had already asked for a refund and she had refused to respond until a month later when I threatened further action. I waited another 2-3 weeks after the 24th in which she stated she would resend the iPhone but didn't bother! I then opened a dispute with Ebay who I am very dissapointed to say did not assist in any way and ended up emailing me to say I was not eligible for a refund. So in other words when you pay $1,180 for an item that you have not recieved through Ebay, you wont get your money back or any justifiable reason why this is the case.
I then took the matter further with Paypal instead who have finally sent me an email today confirming my refund regardless of the seller's funds in her Paypal account LOL. It is now the 15th September so it has taken me 2 months of stress to get my money back.
STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS SELLER. Noone should have to go through this amount of hassle when purchasing stuff on Ebay. If you look up this seller and refer to her negative feedback from other buyers, you will see that I am not her first victim!

$1,180!!!!
for a phone?
is it gold plated?
where are we heading when we buy mobile phones for over $1,000
i have to take my old thought that smokers were the craziest people.
heck, you can get a darn nice laptop for a lot less.
Yes and they pay similar every year when a new one comes out because they have to have the latest and greatest.I've seen so many people with the brand new ones, the $1200 ones and they ALL have smashed screens. I have seen very few iPhones since they came out that don't have smashed screens. My Samsung has hit the concrete so many times face down, it's fallen out of my pocket, it's slid off the roof of the car and it doesn't have a scratch on it, let alone a smashed screen. It doesn't have any protective covers on it, it's naked.
Another thing that amazes me is the amount of school kids and young adults that have the brand new phones and get new ones every time one comes out. Their parents must be made of money. Interestingly, the place you see the most brand new iPhones and iPads is outside of Centrelink. My phone was brand new when I bought it, but it wasn't the brand new model. It was the superceded model which I got for 75% off. No way I could justify spending $1200 on a phone that at best is only going to last a few years before it konks out. Like most things these days, they're not made to last.
No, they're not gold plated, but they are a status thing for a lot of people "ooohhh look at me, I've got an iPhone and I paid $1200 for it".

Yep, me too.
And I am very cheesed off....I was told recently that I have to get a new phone as Optus will be closing down their 2G network early next year.
Might just live without a mobile phone as I cannot justify spending the amount of money wanted for a phone with internet access, camera, radio and all the other bells and whistles. And don't mention the quality of the new phones.

Boy, that's an old phone Lyndal
My older sister is howling cos she has to give up her 2G phone.
You can still get Nokia dirt cheap. You don't need a phone to do all that.
That's what a lappie is for, or a tab

It sure is Stawks....11+ years at least. It still does all I need and was really built to last.
My OH has had several phones in the same time and every new one shows a definite decline in quality. When he bought home the latest one a few months ago I labelled it a child's toy.....it was absolutely carpy quality.

You can still get dumb phones that are 3 or 4G, that just make and receive calls and text messages. Mum got one not long ago and they're quite cheap. I've seen them in a few catalogues too, including Aust Post and Southern Phone (who spam my letterbox every week)

Are you saying I'm dumb Tippy? Should I be offended?
But really, all I need is a dumb phone. I am pretty much house bound these days so only need it for emergencies and making free calls to my OH when I want him to bring something home. If I did not already have a mobile phone I would not feel the need to get one today.
