Has anyone else noticed how pathetically slow the website is in moving from page to page?

For some time I have noticed that it seems to take forever to go from a listing to a page.  This is pathetically slow,  and must be related to server problems,  either in capacity or speed.  Whatever,  it needs fixing.

It is only intermittent for me, most of the time its fast, but sometimes it does take a while for a page to load.

The whole internet is slow for me today.  Ebay is about the same as every other site I have visited, including my bank site.

Are you by any chance with Optus?   I had similar problems yesterday afternoon but it cleared late in the day.

Optus has been appallingly slow for a couple of days now, and then today they rather stupidly emailed me an unsolicited survey and report form, upon which I took great delight in telling them exactly what I thought of their sub-standard cable service and the fact that their upload data rates are capped at an unbearably slow 0.5Mbps which are the lowest I've ever seen on a commercial ISP, and I also took a certain degree of pleasure in also letting them know that as a result, I would not be renewing my contract despite having been with them continuously since 2005.

It will be very interesting to see whether or not they see fit to respond to my complaints, but I somehow very much doubt it. I used to think that Telstra was bad enough, but until Optus spend a bit less on their repetitive advertising and a bit more on their failing infrastructure, Telstra will continue to run rings around them. 😞
