Hi,When an item is purchased and paid for,but when delivered vital parts are missing

and despite repeated emails to the seller and assurances from the seller that the parts are being dispatched, nothing arrives.  The item is a chain saw and the two missing parts are the saw blade and the cutting chain which renders the item useless.  One and a half months have now passed since the purchase was made. What can I do?

If 45 days haven't passed since the date of purchase you can lodge a SNAD dispute with Paypal. Otherwise you're pretty much at the mercy of the seller, and if you get no satisfaction after contacting him, make sure you leave the appropriate feedback within the 60 day period allocated.

1 1/2 months - have you missed the 45 day period for a paypal claim?

if you have, not much you can do at all except maybe a charge back through your bank if you used a CC

Thank you for taking the time to enlighten me. This matter is still on-going. He replies and makes promises about sending the missing items, but so far nothing arrives.

Thank you for taking the time to enlighten me about this issue.  He does respond to amails and makes promises about sending the missing items, but at this stage nothing has arrived.  I'll keep up the squeaky wheel method for a while longer.
