I bought a GPS which turned out to be faulty , i returned the item to an address as advised by the seller. this has been approx 2 months. I have send various emails with no result.E Bay does want to know, or do anything about it.
I cannot even leave Feedback as the transaction is over +60 days as per EBay policy. So I paid for an item ,it failed, i send it back and i found i am screwed.I even loged in on my E.Bay and opened my Messages from the seller to try and send another email and was unable to as E.Bay decided that i am sending a message about an invalid item. !!!.
Does not give me too much confidence using E.Bay im afraid. I think that this is going to be the last time i will use E.Bay.

Did you open a dispute through paypal before returning the item? Do you have proof of postage (tracking number or such)? These sort of issues are dealt with by paypal not ebay.

As mentioned, how did you go throught the process. Take it from Step 1 and take it from there and we'll see what happened. Be specific and as accurate as you can 🙂

I was unable to open a dispute with Pay Pal as the transaction was over 45 days. and yes i posted the item from my place of employment, which keeps tracking of all posted items. Thanks

Yes i did go through the process , i contacted the seller advised them that the GPS was faulty . I send them a detailed account of the things that was wrong with it. They gave me an address :IE: post office box where i send it. I heared nothing from them for nearly three weeks after which i send them another email and they asked me where did i send the unit. Three weeks later i had to send them another email as they did not reply.
This time they asked me from where did i send the unit , which i replied to. That was the last time i heared from this seller, no further communication . My advise is that if you intend to buy something on line, I would be inclined to stay away from "helomoto "!!.

Joe, It's a classic stalling story & a scammer seller. You can't name & shame on the boards. The ID will be removed soon. Never in the future let the Seller stall you. ie not answer messages. Open a dispute. That way you will get something done.

horizon, did you read that the item failed after 45 days....the OP could not open a dispute even if he wanted to.
The seller was under no obligation to even reply. let alone accept a return. I think the only reason he did so was that it was within 60 days and the OP would have been able to leave feedback.
Joe, why would you blame ebay/paypal. If you were outside the 45 days for opening a dispute they cannot do anything and most goods on ebay have no warranty unless you purchase from an authorised reseller of the item.
If the seller was a registered Australian business you could try Fair Trading in your state.

My beef with E.Bay and pay pal is that i am not abler to let other buyers ( such as yourself ) that the particular seller ( helomolto ) does not honour the warranty on the items they sell.
The reason for this is due to Pay Pal Policy of 45 days allowed to make any sort of claim. and EBay policy of not being able to leave feedback about this rogue seller.
I do not expect EBay or Pay Pal to refund me the cost of the item, but on the other hand EBay still accept this seller advertising and giving this rogue a very positive feedback , they are virtually saying that This seller is great If he is so great how come i lost my item as well as my money. The seller is based overseas so i got buckleys hope of getting any thing back.
I just wanted to leave a very negative feedback which I think I am entitled to. EBay expect buyers to leave feedback as soon as they receive the item which is stupid as the real measure of the Seller integrity is how He stands behind the products he sells.
