How can I remove sellers with stores from my search?

Seriously... this is too difficult.

I am looking for building material (flooring) offcuts for a small project.  The majoity of results are from stores, some of which have more advertisements than can show on my screen.  Also, the people with stores often have misleading adverts... they put a cheap price which does not reflect the true price of their products.

This is driving me nuts.  All I want is to search for items that are NOT in stores!  It will be too much effort to manually exclude all the stores.

Including stores in results is unhelpful.  How do I get around this?

TIA

Try local home renovation groups on Facebook, there is always great stuff being offered,

Search auctions only, except for collectibles sellers have to pay for auctions if they have a store so you are more likely to get private sellers.

I understand exactly what you mean when you say you don't want to see "stores" listings, particularly looking for the building items hou are looking for.  Unfortunately that's how ebay is headed.  You might want to express your concerns as a buyer, next time you see a "tell us what you think" box when you log into ebay.
