Do you want to clear all the clutter from the eBay home page?

Click on My Feed and in the box next to My Interests click on Edit

Mouseover each category that you want to delete and select Unfollow

Click on the Featured tab and then Clear Recent Searches. That will get rid of the Recently Viewed listings.

Re: How do I delete "MY FEED" and "FEATURED" and "RECENTLY VIEWED"?

I now receive an endless page in 'MY FEED' and in 'FEATURED' and in 'RECENTLY VIEWED' of items on eBay that I have no interest in. I look at an item on eBay and somehow I receive images that I have no interest in. I look at 'Fire Service' badges and I receive images of toys? I never asked for all these silly images and all they do is clog up the eBay page. I just want to get rid of them permanantly.

Re: How do I delete "MY FEED" and "FEATURED" and "RECENTLY VIEWED"?

Dear sportandplay - Thanks for taking the time to reply. The 'MY FEED' instructions finally worked, despite the red info line repeatedly saying it could not do so 'at this time'. It was just a case of just as repeatedly clicking on "unfollow" until it accepted the instruction.

However the 'FEATURED' instructions do not offer the 'clear Recent Searches' option, but at least I now have a bit less of a clutter and may yet find the solution to the 'Featured' images as well.

My thanks again for your effort. I must say I simply don't understand why eBay has decided on this silly path. I have never sighted one item of interest to me in all the many seemingly endless pages of images their computer system generates. I have been a member for 14 years (since 1999 when it was only US based) and I really don't see the point of generating unwanted bumpf and clogging up the home page.

You could try using an adblocker. Adblock Plus is a good one for Firefox and Chrome.

Doesn't get rid of everything - I still get recent searches. Try looking at your preferences. There are a lot of things in there, notification-wise, that you can turn off.

Yes, I have been stunned too. I don't actually mind a few ads but I tried to scroll down one day and was gobsmacked by the seemingly endless nature of the list. Surely a feature page with about 20 'matched' item suggestions would be enough for anyone.

Though their matching is a bit off, as you point out. recently saw a baby's christening robe listed as 'wedding dress'. Not that i need a wedding dress either, but I idly looked at a couple of listings at some stage, and obviously got it into a frenzy of anticipation.
