I am sickened by the fact dealers are able to make bids on 20 or more items at any given time and most the time it is items i have bid on, these people keep stealing items i try purchasing, how do i report them and why are they allowed to do so, Ebay is meant to be for individuals trying to buy and sell second hand items or items they have no use for to make a few bucks, but that enjoyment is fast being taken by dealers coming in here and taking every chance we have as legit buyers to buy something we want and save a few bucks in the process, E.G, i made a bid on a laptop with a starting price of 0.99, i started at 20aud and the item had 6 days remaining, not even 10 minutes had passed and someone outbid me with 50aud, then another person who is still on that item has made bid 200aud not giving me a chance to make another offer, i am a pensioner, i try hard to get what i can when i can, and these people get away with wild bids long before the end time, it should be controlled or have a limit of 5 items per day to bid on and anything above that will not be allowed, thus giving myself and others in my situation a better chance at getting what we bid for....ANY ANSWER WILL APPRECIATED.

Now I am totally confused, is the OP a game playing pensioner or an ex retailer student?
Any answers not really appreciated!

Well I have'nt been invloved in a blind uncontrolled variable experiment since Uni! How interesting.
To the OP, as the subjects of your experiment I would assume you will make your findings and essay public so we can all have a laugh read ?
Coming to these boards and "setting" the good members of this community "up" for your own personal amusement is disgraceful.
1. You posed a ridiculous question & then get indignant when you get increduality in response
2. You then proceed to inform the members of this board that you have wasted everyones time on some ill conceived high school project .
Good luck seeking help from anyone here in the future should you genuinely need some. Welcome to my "special" list.

It is true that the responses to the question asked were influenced by myself as it was the way i was hoping it would be cause in my mind i was thinking of it hypothetically but as you stated in the wrong phrase of the meaning hypothesis and i sincerely appoligise to all the forum, also i was not acting upon the question while sober which is by no means excusable. Thankyou for your thoughts and corrections.

kinda makes any conclusions from the responses unreliable for use in an essay, unless the topic of the essay is something like "How to conduct unreliable research on eBay forums" and you use the responses to show how posters have to take the Opening Post at face value and not think that the Opening Poster is just an idiot out to stir up trouble.
Don't get me wrong, I am not calling you an idiot . . . . . I still don't have enough information about you on which to decide either way.
