How do you make items buying or selling private ? Not the feedback itself.

Only the seller can do that when listing the item. Most sellers reserve it for items of an intimate nature or for expensive collectibles, anything else listed as private will raise suspicions in many experienced ebayers minds.

If you don't want anyone to know what you are buying and selling create another id and don't let anyone know what it is.

It's a setting the seller has to select when listing an item, so it will be specific to the items that are purchased. If you want the items you sell to be private, you need to tick the box on the listing form (it can't be done after a sale). If it's for your feedback as a buyer, there is no longer a 'View item' link on a buyer's feedback profile for anyone else to view your purchases, it's only if you're logged in and you view your own profile that the link to view an item is available.

If you buy an item, that the seller hasn't marked as private when listing , then the 'view item' link on the buyers feedback profile will still show to everyone for those particular items.

No, it won't. Click on my (or anyone else's) feedback profile - you won't see an item title or view item link anywhere, even for the most recent purchases. That info and link is only on items a seller has sold (buyer ID disguised), or if you're the buyer and logged into eBay, looking at your own FB profile.
