How to trace seller who cheats. Collect money but don't deliver :(

I want to trace a seller who sold me an MQ box i ordered, paid but never delivered. I have all the screen shots of communications but finally the seller took off his advertisement and i can't trace them anymore. Very unscrupulous. Next thing they will do is create another account in another name and start scamming again.

Kicking myself for not checking out the seller first hmph!!!

This site makes it very difficult to report about anything. I guess its a 'buy at your own risk' site then.

I assume you paid via Paypal.

Just open a case in PayPal for INR to get a refund.

All internet sites are buy at own risk, that is the nature of online and always will be.

You've fallen victim to a Chinese scammer. For future reference, if someone is selling something that is way under the price of the same item elsewhere, plus the seller has lots, it's a scam. That seller has been shut down by eBay. As already mentioned, log into PayPal and open a not received dispute. As the seller is no longer registered, your refund should go through pretty quickly.

Something else to watch with the scammers. Always check the category. Scammers often put the items in categories that aren't covered by eBay or PayPal protection. Always check a sellers feedback too. If you had looked at this sellers feedback, you would have seen they had already racked up a lot of negs before you bought.

The seller hasn't removed the item. It's more than 60 days, so it will drop into your archives.

Beware of the cheap scam items. If you're ever unsure, pop in here and get someone to check the listing for you.

Then make a claim through your credit provider.....if you don't use paypal that is the next best option.

The very top protection comes with using your credit card or Visa debit card through paypal.

You then have the option of a claim through ebay, a claim through paypal or a claim directly on your credit/Visa debit card.
