I recieved an item in the post yesterday but it had NO contact info, NO sender info & NO indication where the item came from.
It contained what appears to be some kind of weird looking light globes. I didn't order these. I'm guessing whoever did order them probably has the item I ordered, whatever that was. I'm quite happy to forward them on if the sender or buyer read this.

A good reason to always have a return address. I guess you'll just have to wait for the seller to contact you if they ever work out what's happened.
You could maybe contact any recent sellers that you've bought from as it would have to be someone that has your postal details from a sale.

oh Jake,
was it in a satchel or parcel?
if parcel did it have at least a PO receipt or a handstamp on the stamps denoting a TOWN or Suburb of posting?
if a satchel, did it have tracking? if yes, maybe look up the tracking number on the aust post site and find the PO it originated from.
at least that's a start
I never understand sellers who dont pop a business card or at least a thank you note in with their items.

How do you know it is from eBay if it has no contact information? I think it would be very strange that an eBay seller sends an item with no return address, although it can happen. People make mistakes.

Have you checked to see which items you've purchased but haven't yet received?

Well, you've bought a lot of things lately. I guess the best way to work it out is when you realise there is one thing you bought but haven't received yet.

Check all the purchases you have made - look at each sellers other items, if you find similar to the globes you received, contact seller. If it is simply a mix up in orders, stands to reason it has come from the same seller as the globes.

Oddly enough, It's not strange at all (but very stupid nonetheless). I'd say that around half of my sellers, both Australian AND Chinese, don't bother with a return address, nor do they enclose any identifying paperwork.
I've been lucky insofar as it has never caused me a problem, other than trying to figure out to whom I should leave feedback, but I'd never send a postal article anywhere without a legible return address on the back; it makes no sense not to do so.

It takes time putting a return address on something that shouldn't be returned. Although it has helped when the sending address is incorrect
